Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
- Experience with one or more of the following: Composite Materials, Mechanical Design, Strength of Materials, Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering (i.e. FEA, CAD, etc.) software, Teamcenter, SAP and programming languages
- Experience with project management concepts (scheduling, risk management, action tracking)
- Experience communicating with customers, co-workers, suppliers and management in varying disciplines
Responsibilities
- Composite design and structural analysis support across all phases of the design cycle, preliminary through detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and operational service
- Implement common procedures and standard work across the organization to optimize efficiency and quality. Develop data and make layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposals
- Assist in manufacturing process development at suppliers and ensure the manufacturability of component designs, documenting and presenting results to management and external customers
