About The Position

The Tool Prep & Reconditioning Department Lead (TP&R) will assist the Production Supervisor in overseeing daily operations within the TP&R Department to ensure tools are prepped and reconditioned to the highest quality standards. This role will help build structure, lead and develop the team, maintain schedules and priorities, and support continuous improvements to tool management and processing throughout the organization while ensuring safety, quality, and company standards are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in composite manufacturing required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous body work and composite experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of people to certify that all tools are prepped and reconditioned to the highest quality standards
  • Supervise the department schedule to ensure all daily requirements are met
  • Communicates with Planning and Production team to verify that priorities are clear
  • Manage the training and development of all new TP&R employees
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Have the ability to adjust to schedule and priority changes
  • Cooperate with the maintenance and management of the Mold Tracker report
  • Address personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Generate and issue Performance Reviews on time to promote a positive work environment
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
