About The Position

HEPCO is seeking a Composite Technician for a client. This role involves fabricating composite subassemblies and armor panels using materials such as fiberglass, epoxy, plastics, ceramics, and alloys. The technician will cut, trim, grind, and assemble composite materials using hand, pneumatic, and electric power tools, following work orders, templates, shop instructions, and illustrations. Responsibilities include mixing and applying release agents, sealants, solvents, adhesives, and resins, and using scales and calipers to measure materials and finished work. The role also involves related aircraft seat cushion assembly, including bonding, cutting, and grinding foam, plastics, and laminated materials. Maintaining quality and accuracy across different projects, following company safety policies, and performing other assigned tasks are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • At least one year of production assembly experience, related technical schooling, or an approved equivalent combination.
  • Ability to read and apply work instructions and work order details.
  • Ability to use both hands to handle and construct assemblies.
  • Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts.
  • Ability to move, pull, lift, or transfer products weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical institute certification or a related degree is preferred.
