This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. An M04A repair technician is required to perform professional repair work involving considerable independence in approach, demanding a considerable degree of originality, ingenuity and judgment, and knowledge of more than one field of, or expertise (for example, acts as his/her organization’s technical reference authority) in a particular field of professional repair within your organization. Initiates or participates in both short-range and long-range planning, making independent decisions on repair policies and procedures within an overall program. Gives technical advice to management and operating departments. May take detailed technical responsibility for product development and provision of specialized engineering systems, facilities and functions. The M04A repair technician makes responsible decisions not usually subject to technical review, decides courses of action necessary to expedite the successful accomplishment of assigned projects, and may make recommendations involving large sums or long-range objectives.
