About The Position

Visioneering, Inc. is seeking a skilled Composite Laminator to perform hands-on fabrication, layup, curing, trimming, bonding, and repair of composite components. This role is crucial for ensuring parts meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements through precise material handling, adherence to ply books, and strict process control. The company has been serving the aerospace industry since 1953 and holds AS9100 certification.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Nice To Haves

1+ years' experience laying up and or working with one or all of the following materials: epoxy, fiberglass, carbon fiber, BMI, graphite, Kevlar.
1+ years' experience with vacuum bagging of tools or parts, running industrial size ovens, running autoclave.
General understanding of ply orientation.

Responsibilities

Perform fabrication, layup, curing, trimming, bonding, and repair of composite components.
Ensure parts are produced to engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Handle materials precisely and adhere to ply books.
Maintain strict process control.
Lay-up fiberglass/carbon fiber/Kevlar and similar materials.
Perform ply cutting and orientation layup.
De-bulk and vacuum bag tooling and parts.
Pot and bond materials.
Mix resins and hardeners to manufacturers' specifications.
Understand and follow all QMS procedures and work instructions.
Utilize and understand work order travelers and manufacturing plans.
Achieve quality and production goals.
Follow OSHA safety guidelines and ITAR compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
