Position Overview: As a Composite Fabrication Technician, you will fabricate, assemble, and test composite components and support manufacturing process improvements. This hands-on role includes equipment troubleshooting, process development, and composite layup/fabrication for advanced systems.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in science/engineering with 2+ years of experience OR high school diploma with 6+ years of experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency with shop equipment and fabrication tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE or DOD clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with filament winding, fiber placement, or composite processes.
  • Experience with NQA1, ISO9001, or AS9100 quality programs.
  • Experience in isotope enrichment or fast-paced technical environments.
  • Active DOE Q security clearance highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and test composite components for advanced systems.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot fabrication equipment.
  • Support development of operational procedures and process improvements.
  • Execute fabrication and assembly of complex components, test stands, and fixtures.
