Component Stamping Operator

Edgewell•Milford, CT

About The Position

Edgewell is hiring Component Stamping Operators for a large, established manufacturing operation. This hands-on production role supports components as they move through stamping, washing, and precision quality verification processes. Depending on the assigned station, operators may load metal coils, operate stamping presses, perform dimensional inspections, or provide equipment performance recommendations. The work is physical and fast-paced, requiring operators to stay active, monitor multiple machine setups, and work with a team to meet quality and production goals. Operators are expected to be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with complex equipment, and willing to certify across multiple process areas. Operators set up and monitor multiple 30–75-ton stamping presses and related machinery; handle metal coils using mechanical lifts and specialized winding and unwinding systems; perform routine sampling and dimensional laboratory tests against blueprint specifications; make minor machine adjustments and assist Tool Makers with tooling setups and removals; and manage cleaning solutions used in ultrasonic aqueous tanks. They also maintain digital production and quality logs using computer software, keep equipment and work areas orderly, and follow EH&S procedures for flammables, spills, and equipment safety. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, physical ability to perform hands-on production work throughout an industrial shift, and the ability to handle material coils weighing up to 60 pounds independently and up to 500 pounds with assistance. Basic computer skills, attention to detail, reliable attendance, punctuality, and teamwork are also required. Manufacturing or pressroom experience, blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and industrial maintenance or cleaning-agent experience are preferred. The stated salary range is $18.30–$29.73.
