And we are operators, providing airtankers, crew and maintenance on contract over fire seasons to government agencies including Canada, the US, Australia and France. We currently have an opening for a full-time permanent Component Shop NDT Technician position.

Requirements

  • Level I Certification in ET, UT, MP or PT
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely troubleshoot and support the maintenance of mechanical components
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with managers and team leads
  • Adaptability to respond efficiently to production needs while maintaining quality standards
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship or permanent residency)

Nice To Haves

  • Level II Certification in ET, UT, MP or PT
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and general computer systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT inspections on diverse aeronautical products in strict compliance with applicable manuals, process standards, and Conair procedures
  • Maintain and calibrate department tooling and equipment to ensure operational accuracy
  • Interpret technical drawings and literature to accurately execute repair and inspection tasks
  • Overhaul, repair, and service aircraft components as required to maintain fleet readiness
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Promote a safe workplace by demonstrating safe working practices and maintaining requirements for personal respirator safe-fit testing
  • Produce clear, concise inspection reports and execute associated maintenance documentation diligently
  • Maintain technical currency by reviewing Conair memos, maintenance bulletins, and operational notices, Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), safety regulations, and industry standards applicable to aircraft maintenance
