About The Position
This role focuses on the diagnosis, rebuilding, and repair of various powertrain components, including transmissions, torque converters, and axles. The technician will be responsible for component overhauls, troubleshooting, testing, and ensuring the quality of repairs. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude in diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems, along with proficiency in using various tools and equipment. The role also involves reading technical documentation, and potentially traveling for training and support.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
- Knowledge of hand tools, air tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, service literature, specifications, and parts documentation.
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
- Willingness to travel periodically for training and operational support.
Nice To Haves
- Experience diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing transmissions, torque converters, axles, and other powertrain components.
- Ability to perform component overhauls, troubleshooting, testing, and final verification of repairs.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge of crane, hoist, and rigging procedures.
