About The Position

SafeTech USA, a division of SK AeroSafety Group, is hiring a Component Maintenance Technician for its MRO team in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The company inspects, repairs, and overhauls aircraft safety components, including fire suppression systems, oxygen assemblies, and emergency evacuation equipment. In this hands-on role, the technician will inspect, service, and repair aircraft safety equipment such as engines, oxygen systems, evacuation slides, rafts, and fire bottles. No prior aviation experience is required; on-the-job training is provided for motivated candidates.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documents.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs. and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and pulling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory tracking.
Team-oriented approach and strong attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license.
U.S. citizen or resident status.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft safety equipment in accordance with FAA/EASA regulations and OEM technical data.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble components and systems precisely.
Conduct validation and verification testing of parts and assemblies.
Use specialized tools to identify and resolve mechanical and pneumatic issues.
Maintain accurate records and complete electronic documentation of maintenance activities.
Follow safety protocols and uphold quality standards.
