About The Position

TEKsystems is partnering with a client looking for a Component Engineer to support cutting-edge consumer electronics hardware development. This role involves reviewing new component requests, ensuring design compatibility, assigning part numbers, and maintaining accurate specifications for both custom and off-the-shelf components. The engineer will collaborate closely with design, ECAD, and operations teams while supporting component selection strategies that ensure availability and successful product launches. Responsibilities also include interpreting schematics, managing engineering change orders, and maintaining component libraries and approved vendor lists.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering degree
• 3+ years of experience
• Hands-on familiarity with electronic components and test equipment
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced development environment
