About The Position

Tanknology, a United Uptime Services Company, is a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry seeking an experienced, energetic, and hardworking Field Service Technician Apprentice. This role involves an apprenticeship-style program until certification, where you will work on various job sites performing testing, installations, and repairs using proprietary software (TANCS) to record findings. Tanknology is the largest company dedicated to protecting the environment from fuel leaks in tanks and piping systems, with nationwide operations and experiencing growth. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades (HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electricians, carpenters, or cable technicians preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling)
  • Comfortable climbing 20 ft extension ladders multiple times daily
  • Basic computer skills for data entry
  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to travel across multiple states, occasionally staying overnight (hotel and generous per diem provided)
  • A Strong Educational Foundation: High school diploma or GED required
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Must pass drug test, background, physical, and MVR check.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and surveys
  • Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems
  • Install equipment and test tank gauge systems
  • Enter and analyze test results, communicating findings to the Operations team
  • Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle
