About The Position

Assists with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of WakeMed's Corporate Compliance program. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to maintaining and organizing information, prepare reports and dashboards for trending compliance results. Monitor and investigate compliance hotline reports, conflict of interest (COI) disclosures, and other reports of potential compliance violations. Track and report on compliance hotline caseload volume and time to close investigations. Review COI disclosure forms against publicly available data and follow up with providers, where necessary. Monitor implementation of corrective action plans and develop management reports. Complete internal audits and other projects on the corporate compliance work plan to support continuous monitoring of identified compliance risks. Reports audit results as well as analyze and recommend corrective action plans. Assist in ongoing risk assessment process for corporate compliance regulatory priorities and development of annual corporate compliance work plan. Primary responsibility for managing one or more core subject-matter areas.1) EMTALA Compliance: Review medical records involving emergency department encounters to assess compliance with EMTALA requirements; identify potential EMTALA issues, trends, and areas of risk, and document findings accurately and objectively; support internal reviews, audits, and investigations related to alleged or potential EMTALA violations; assist with preparing reports, responses, and supporting documentation for leadership, regulatory agencies, or legal counsel as needed; collaborate with clinical leadership, risk management, legal, and operational teams to address identified compliance concerns. 2) Policy Management: Maintain, review, and update corporate compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current laws, regulations, and accreditation standards; coordinate policy revisions with subject matter experts, leadership, and legal counsel; track policy approvals, version control, and dissemination across the organization; support education and training initiatives related to compliance policies and regulatory requirements. May also be assigned primary responsibility for other projects based on the needs of the Corporate Compliance program.

  • 3 Years Administrative Required
