This position provides and promotes the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program to a variety of employers across the State of Arizona through visits and outreach training, which includes conducting Voluntary Protection Program inspections; providing industry best practices when necessary; Recommending improvements to existing safety and health management systems; Reviewing annual SHARP and VPP summary reports from employers; Reviewing Arizona and National Bureau of Labor Statistics Data to determine injury/illness trends for Arizona businesses, Encouraging employer participation in an ADOSH Partnership program. The position also requires the active involvement in associations and external trade shows where ADOSH is invited to speak on the current trends for compliance and consultation best practices. The position will be a direct supervisor for five consultants, one administrative professional and one trainer. Indirectly, the position will help support another four in the Tucson Consultation Department when the Tucson Consultation Supervisor is absent or out in the field visiting with an employer or organization. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
