The QA Analyst also contributes to improving control frameworks and identifying risks across AML and broader compliance processes.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of AML regulations and SAR requirements, with hands-on experience in SAR writing and/or SAR quality assurance review.
  • Skilled at assessing investigative quality, including identifying gaps in logic, insufficient evidence, and unsupported conclusions.

  • High attention to detail and consistency in applying QA frameworks, scorecards, and calibration standards.
  • Strong communicator, able to present QA findings and thematic insights to stakeholders and management to support decision-making and remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of AML investigations and SARs, assessing accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate whether investigative findings, suspicion rationale, and conclusions are clearly articulated and supported by sufficient evidence and risk indicators.
  • Prepare and deliver structured QA reports, clearly documenting findings, observations, risks, and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and potential control gaps across SARs and casework, escalating material risks where appropriate.
  • Support the development and refinement of QA frameworks, scorecards, and calibration processes to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment (e.g., FinCEN expectations).
