About The Position

Aeon Health is seeking a Compliance & Operations Specialist to strengthen its systems, documentation, and coordination efforts related to compliance, certification readiness, and operational governance. This role involves working cross-functionally with internal teams and external specialists to manage compliance and operational work-streams, develop documentation, coordinate requirements, track remediation, and drive initiatives to completion. The goal is to create clarity, enhance regulatory readiness for audits and expansion, and build scalable practical systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, governance, compliance, or a related field, ideally with exposure to a regulated environment.
  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical, regulatory, legal, and operational information into clear, accurate, practical documentation.
  • Ability to move initiatives forward across teams, manage priorities and dependencies, maintain clear ownership and timelines, and escalate risks.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion, with sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to navigate unfamiliar requirements, find information and expertise, and keep work moving while knowing when to collaborate or seek guidance.
  • Curiosity and learning agility, with the eagerness to understand the business and technology and build knowledge quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Canadian healthcare technology, digital health, clinical operations, electronic medical record systems, or another regulated SaaS environment.
  • Experience with Canadian healthcare privacy and regulatory requirements, Privacy Impact Assessments, or comparable requirements in other jurisdictions.
  • Experience with SOC 2, ISO standards, audits, certification readiness, risk management, vendor governance, or policy lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, cloud environments, information security, or related technical concepts.
  • Experience with GRC or compliance automation platforms for control monitoring, evidence management, audit readiness, or compliance workflows.
  • Contract administration or experience coordinating compliance and governance requirements with legal counsel or other specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen governance programs by maintaining and improving documentation, policies, standards, registers, review cycles, and decision records.
  • Coordinate compliance and assurance activities, including SOC 2, PIPEDA compliance, and ISO 9001, by coordinating evidence, maintaining control documentation, and tracking findings and remediation.
  • Advance regulatory readiness and geographic expansion by researching requirements, translating findings into work plans, maintaining a regulatory readiness roadmap, and coordinating contributors.
  • Strengthen technical governance documentation by partnering with Engineering to document security controls, policies, procedures, and mapping controls to frameworks.
  • Improve operational systems and documentation by developing SOPs, improving workflows, strengthening knowledge management, and identifying opportunities for efficiency, including the use of AI.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives through completion by identifying and coordinating stakeholders, maintaining ownership and timelines, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Identify and escalate risks and improvement opportunities by monitoring workstreams for emerging requirements, gaps, or risks.
