About The Position

Lakeside Bank is seeking a seasoned and motivated Compliance Officer to join our growing team. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role that partners closely with leadership and business units across the bank to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The ideal candidate brings strong regulatory knowledge, practical judgment, and a collaborative mindset—someone who enjoys being actively involved in the business while helping shape and strengthen a culture of compliance.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience across multiple compliance disciplines, including but not limited to: CRA, BSA Retail and Deposit regulations Reg E, Reg CC, Reg O Fair Lending, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, FHA Flood Disaster Protection Act and USA PATRIOT Act
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience within the banking industry

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification such as CRCM or similar (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the bank’s enterprise‑wide compliance programs
• Conducting risk assessments, compliance testing, and audits to proactively identify and mitigate risk
• Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring timely implementation of new or revised requirements
• Providing practical guidance and training to business partners across the organization
• Investigating, documenting, and resolving compliance issues and customer complaints
• Preparing clear, concise compliance reports for senior management and regulatory agencies
• Serving as a trusted compliance resource across all functional areas of the bank
