We seek a scrappy, start-up minded operator who embeds compliance into daily workflows. Someone who's in the weeds on contracts everyday, translating compliance into execution quickly, and has the natural drive to be the operational glue between executive team, legal counsel, contracts, and the business/sales — embedding compliance into real deals under pressure. Reporting to the General Counsel and partnering closely with our Contracts Manager, this is a contract-heavy compliance role that's embedded in revenue flow and deal closing, with the longer term goal of informing a fully built-out compliance function. This role will drive corporate compliance initiatives — including data privacy, export controls, anti-bribery regulations, and international trade compliance — while supporting scalable, audit-ready business operations across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience managing compliance programs in regulated industries (e.g., defense, technology, or data services).
  • Strong working knowledge of key compliance domains: anti-corruption, sanctions, export controls, data privacy, and corporate ethics.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate risk in global operations, with experience supporting international subsidiaries or vendor ecosystems.
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams, including contracts, legal, HR, and operations.
  • Experience developing policies, conducting investigations, and managing compliance training programs.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools and reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build a culture of compliance across all levels of the organization.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to work in a high-visibility, high-impact environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications: Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E or CIPP/US), or equivalent.
  • International experience working with diverse legal and regulatory frameworks strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Corporate and International Compliance Frameworks: Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance programs that align with domestic and international regulations, corporate policies, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor and Assess Compliance Risks: Identify areas of potential legal or regulatory exposure across commercial and international operations; develop mitigation strategies and corrective action plans.
  • Support Contracting and Procurement Compliance: Partner with the Contracts Manager to ensure that agreements align with compliance requirements (e.g. data protection clauses, export restrictions, conflict of interest certifications) and reflect applicable risk-management principles.
  • Develop Compliance Policies and Procedures: Draft and maintain company-wide compliance policies covering areas such as anti-bribery (FCPA/UKBA), data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), export control (EAR/ITAR), and recordkeeping.
  • Conduct Compliance Training and Awareness: Design and deliver engaging training programs to increase employee awareness of compliance obligations, ethical conduct, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Identify, Investigate, and Resolve Compliance Issues: Lead internal investigations of potential violations, coordinate remediation activities, and partner with legal and HR teams to ensure consistent enforcement.
  • Coordinate with External Regulators and Auditors: Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, or certifications, ensuring timely and transparent communication.
  • Implement Compliance Monitoring Tools: Support deployment of automated systems to track required certifications, training completion, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with departments including, Finance, HR, and Operations to embed compliance controls in business workflows and decision-making.

  • Full medical, dental, vision coverage for employee and dependents
  • 401k matching program
  • PTO and Holidays
  • Bonus and other incentive programs
  • Access to mental health program
  • Access to Flexible Spending Accounts for Health Care, Dependent and Commuter
