Play a critical role in protecting integrity, quality, and accountability across a mission-driven organization. The Compliance Manager supports SOAR365's commitment to ethical operations and high-quality services by ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced compliance or quality professional who thrives on complex problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with executive leadership and serve as a trusted resource across the organization, stepping into a leadership role when the Vice President of Compliance is unavailable. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a human services, rehabilitation, healthcare administration, public administration, or related field; a bachelor's degree may be considered with significant relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance, quality management, or a related role, with a strong preference for experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Deep understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards (such as AbilityOne, CARF, Medicaid, DBHDS, HIPAA, and ACA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Supervise others
  • Provide regulatory guidance to leadership
  • Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and evolving technology

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Vice President of Compliance & Chief Compliance Officer in implementing and maintaining effective compliance systems across SOAR365
  • Reviewing external regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Developing and updating internal policies and procedures
  • Designing, conducting, and reporting on internal audits
  • Leading cross-functional teams to prepare for external audits
  • Serving as a liaison during accreditation and regulatory reviews, coordinating documentation, responses, and corrective action plans
  • Reviewing and reporting incidents
  • Conducting investigations related to fraud, waste, or abuse
  • Performing data analysis and reporting
  • Supporting regulatory training efforts
  • Supervising interns or compliance staff as needed
  • Participating in on-call rotations for reporting requirements
  • Supporting special projects
  • Attending professional development activities
  • Ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
