The Security Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs to ensure all security operations meet regulatory requirements, licensing standards, contractual obligations, and internal policies. This role ensures adherence to local, state, and federal laws governing private security services while promoting operational integrity, risk mitigation, and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in security operations, compliance, or risk management
  • Strong knowledge of private security laws, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Experience with guard management systems, training platforms, and compliance databases
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail and integrity

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local security regulations
  • Oversee guard licensing, certifications, training, and credential tracking
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
  • Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, and compliance manuals
  • Monitor regulatory updates and implement required policy changes
  • Lead investigations into compliance violations and recommend corrective actions
  • Manage regulatory reporting and audit documentation
  • Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, and auditors
  • Deliver compliance training for security personnel and leadership
  • Ensure contract compliance for all client security agreements
  • Track incident reports, corrective actions, and resolution outcomes
