About the Role We’re seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to support and strengthen Ōnin’s compliance programs. This role ensures adherence to employment laws and internal policies while partnering cross-functionally to drive consistent, compliant practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience in HR, compliance, or related field (staffing/multi-state a plus)
• Knowledge of employment laws and compliance practices
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and analyze risk
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support HR policy development and ensure alignment with legal requirements
• Monitor regulatory changes and adapt compliance practices proactively
• Conduct audits, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain compliance documentation, reports, and audit readiness
• Support external audits and coordinate across teams
• Manage state-specific requirements (onboarding, leave policies, postings)
• Develop clear policies, procedures, and training materials
• Assist with compliance training and organization-wide communication
• Partner with HR, payroll, IT, and operations on compliance initiatives
