About The Position

The Church Pension Group (CPG) is seeking a part-time Compliance Coordinator for its Corporate Finance Department. This role will support the Corporate Finance- Compliance Delegate in managing all compliance matters. Responsibilities include understanding and monitoring compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to governmental filings and reporting, identifying and mitigating compliance risks, maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures, training employees on compliance matters, responding to non-compliance events, and participating in enterprise-wide compliance initiatives. This is a hybrid position, three days a week, with flexibility on the specific days worked.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- SharePoint
  • 3+ years of relevant compliance experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling varied administrative responsibilities.
  • Extensive use of a computer keyboard.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or background in regulatory matters is preferred.
  • BA/BS is preferred. Combination of work and education considered.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding compliance requirements and monitoring developments, including benefit plans, laws, regulations, contracts, enterprise policies, and other obligations, and identifying/responding to new developments.
  • Monitoring compliance with governmental filings, reporting, notices, and other similar requirements, ensuring timely preparation, processing, and submission.
  • Providing or arranging training and oversight to ensure employees understand and carry out their compliance responsibilities.
  • Identifying compliance risks and leading efforts to mitigate the most significant ones by evaluating risks, considering impact and best practices, and developing/implementing compliance plans.
  • Ensuring Corporate Finance policies and procedures are up-to-date, including preparation, revision, and consultation with appropriate employees.
  • Periodically monitoring Corporate Finance employees’ compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring Corporate Finance employees are trained and have access to necessary information regarding compliance matters.
  • Encouraging reporting of non-compliance events and responding to them, with assistance from secondary compliance coordinators.
  • Promptly reporting instances of non-compliance events to the Corporate Finance – Compliance Delegate.
  • Contributing to and participating in quarterly compliance coordinator meetings and attending Compliance Committee meetings as needed.
