About The Position

The Compliance Assistant supports Taylion Academy’s Compliance Team and learning center operations by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all student data and academic compliance documentation across Independent Study, Online, and Homeschool programs. This role is essential in monitoring instructor adherence to regulatory guidelines, school protocols, and reporting requirements. The Compliance Assistant acts as a liaison between leadership, instructional staff, families, and external agencies to uphold institutional transparency, program efficacy, and compliance integrity.

Requirements

  • Consistent on‑site engagement to ensure timely compliance with documentation and operations.
  • Regular in‑person presence at school sites, including participation in meetings, trainings, and on‑campus operational support.
  • Uphold and streamline data-driven compliance processes while supporting teachers and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Review student records and documentation within the Student Information System (SIS), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor instructor compliance in attendance, assessment uploads, and required documentation.
  • Audit compliance files including Learning Agreements, Learning Logs, Assignment and Work Records, Work Samples, and Engagement Logs.
  • Oversee and guide teachers regarding deadlines and expectations for compliance file requirements.
  • Create and manage internal data tools, dashboards, and tracking systems.
  • Build detailed spreadsheets, charts, and reporting tools to monitor KPIs and student outcomes.
  • Conduct school-wide and classroom-level data analysis to support instructional decision-making.
  • Prepare and distribute compliance scorecards, evaluation forms, and progress reports.
  • Maintain and update the main Compliance Checklist and individual teacher checklists.
  • Ensure all student files (digital and archived) are complete, organized, and aligned with program requirements.
  • Follow up with staff, students, and parents regarding missing or incorrect documentation and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Train staff on SIS usage, compliance expectations, and data reporting systems.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to teachers regarding compliance issues and timelines.
  • Assist the Compliance Coordinator with trainings, team meetings, and weekly progress updates.
  • Communicate checklist updates, audit findings, and deadlines via email, ensuring Supervisor(s) are CC’d.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for data and compliance support.
  • Attend weekly compliance meetings, bi‑weekly grade-level meetings, and all in‑person or online All‑Staff meetings.
  • Support cross-campus communication and coordination as needed.
  • Support Learning Center Coordinators (LCCs) with site needs.
  • Assist Administrative Assistants as needed, and provide coverage as needed.
  • Support student equipment, packet, and Chromebook distribution, troubleshooting, and inventory.
  • Assist with student ID card processing.
  • Serve as an IEP note‑taker during IEP meetings when assigned.
