Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a health care quality leader in a hospital setting with responsibility for regulatory/survey programs
  • Strong healthcare knowledge specific to quality and conditions of participation for Critical Access Hospitals, Acute Care hospitals.
  • Experience with State Agency and/or Accreditation Organization surveys, including the development, implementation and monitoring of plans of correction.
  • Willingness to learn Conditions of Participation (CoPs) specific to Rural Emergency Hospitals (REHs) and other provider types
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand technical information
  • Knowledgeable in value-based care and quality improvement programs
  • Knowledgeable in rapid-cycle improvement methodology within healthcare settings
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have reliable, high-speed internet and experience working remotely.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive work culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Registered Nurse, Master’s in Nursing, Health Sciences, Health Administration or Business preferred.
  • Certification in Quality, Patient Safety, Risk Management or other related certification
  • Experience as a compliance and/or privacy officer
  • Knowledge and experience in Rural Health Clinic conditions of participation
  • Experience in conducting Mock Surveys, Tracers and other regulatory survey activities
  • Strong knowledge of medical staff services

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a compliance and regulatory resource for healthcare partners
  • Assist with conducting tiered tracer activities with partner organizations
  • Assist with providing education and training for internal and external partners
  • Assist with providing regulatory coaching
  • Assist with coordination of vendors for survey and regulatory activities
  • Assist with developing key regulatory resources
  • Assist with providing feedback on Plans of Correction and strategies to monitor compliance
  • Assist with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal functions
  • Participate in summits and in-person meetings to build relationships with colleagues and partner healthcare organizations
  • Assist with the development, review and feedback of learning briefs, and other health assessments of partner organizations and programs
  • Collaborate with the clinical transformation team and develop additional resources to support the improvement of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with other services lines to improve patient safety, regulatory compliance and other strategies to improve operations
  • Other duties as assigned
