About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance & Regulatory Paralegal to join our corporate support team. Our team supports our ABA therapy Learning Centers and our sister company's hospice locations throughout the southeast. This position will focus on regulatory compliance across our ABA and hospice service lines, with an emphasis on Medicare and Medicaid requirements. Highlights Healthcare provides diagnosis and early intervention ABA therapy services to bring meaningful and positive change to children with autism. We specialize in serving young learners and families with Medicaid benefits. Requirements

3-5 years of experience in paralegal support
Adherence to laws and best practices with regard to customers and data
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team environment
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Highly organized with attention to detail; results driven
Excellent time management and high productivity
Strong, polished communication and customer service skills – written and verbal

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited college or university
Juris Doctor (JD), Paralegal Certificate, or LL.M.
Experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
Experience with CAQH, provider enrollment systems, and licensing process

Responsibilities

Focus on regulatory compliance across ABA and hospice service lines, with an emphasis on Medicare and Medicaid requirements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Support provider credentialing and recredentialing, including initial applications, verifications, and ongoing monitoring.
Assist with Medicare and Medicaid enrollments and compliance.
Coordinate and maintain state and local business licenses.
Monitor and support compliance related to waivers and regulatory programs.
Conduct legal and regulatory research related to healthcare compliance.
Identify and mitigate legal and financial risks.
Development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of files and records.
Comply with Highlights Healthcare’s vision, mission, and values.
