A well-established, multibillion-dollar private investment firm focused on sustainable infrastructure and energy is hiring a Compliance and Legal Operations Associate for its New York office. This role sits at the center of the firm's legal, compliance, and operational functions, offering genuine ownership and a path to build out a growing compliance program rather than simply maintaining one.

Requirements

• Experience with KYC and AML processes.
• Background in banking operations, fund services, or a related finance function.
• Proven ability to manage high volume entity administration independently.
• Comfort owning process and driving structure in a fast-moving environment.

Nice To Haves

• Compliance program experience, testing, monitoring, or build out work, is a strong plus.
• Paralegal experience at an investment manager or fund administrator is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Manage entity formation and maintenance across a high volume portfolio of domestic entities, coordinating with outside service providers on governance, filings, and registrations.
• Support know your customer processes tied to trading counterparties.
• Track regulatory filing deadlines and requirements, working alongside outside compliance counsel.
• Own and run a weekly operational tracker and team cadence meeting.
• Provide backup support on investor due diligence requests during active capital raising periods.
• Take on limited legal support work including document redlines and signature coordination.
