About The Position

The University of New Mexico's Compliance, Ethics & Equal Opportunity (CEEO) Office is seeking a Compliance Analytics Specialist to support data-informed compliance efforts across the University. The Compliance Analytics Specialist collects, analyzes, and translates complex compliance data into meaningful decision-making, regulatory reporting, risk identification, and continuous improvement. This position develops dashboards, visualizations, metrics, and reports; maintains systems and databases used to track compliance information; and works to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of compliance data. Working collaboratively with CEEO staff and partners across the University, the Compliance Analytics Specialist identifies trends and emerging areas of risk, supports institutional and regulatory reporting, and develops tools that make complex information accessible and actionable. The position also serves as technical resource to University stakeholders and provides guidance and training related to compliance data, reporting processes, and information systems. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and intellectually curious, with the ability to work independently with complex datasets while effectively communicating findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in a directly related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collecting, analyzing, validating, and reporting complex data.
  • Experience developing dashboards, data visualizations, metrics, or key performance indicators (KPIs) to support organizational decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience working with databases, data management systems, query tools, or relational data.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across functional areas to improve data collection, reporting processes, systems, or workflows.
  • Experience developing or delivering training, technical guidance, documentation, or other resources related to data systems or reporting processes.
  • Experience working in a higher education, public-sector, or similarly situated organizational environment.
