About The Position

The Compliance Analyst position is part of a group that oversees, administers, and audits Entergy Shared Services (ESS) policies, procedures, and processes. This role works closely with all ESS departments to ensure processes are well-documented, readily available, and effective. The position supports and assists the organization and its customers with reporting, auditing, and consultative support to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. This role delivers value by supporting ongoing process improvement, ensuring compliance, and maintaining Entergy’s Shared Services standard way of working.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand & interpret data, analyze trends and identify actionable insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey complex technical or legal concepts in understandable terms both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to deliver oral presentations to diverse groups.
  • Uses analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
  • Results-driven self-starter.
  • Ability to handle & maintain confidential information.
  • Expert in balancing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and work streams simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting compliance policies, with a focus on Drugs & Alcohol and DOT compliance.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other business units to develop, implement, and refine compliance policies.
  • Support the development, coordination, and implementation of risk management plans relating to employment laws, with guidance from Legal & Compliance teams.
  • Assist in the implementation of a Compliance training program, focusing on Drugs & Alcohol and DOT policies.
  • Work with other teams to understand and identify risk areas in their departments.
  • Develop action plans based on findings from internal reviews and conduct follow-up on implementation.
  • Provide support to ensure compliance across various locations and jurisdictions (federal, state, local).
  • Ensure Company's processes, procedures, systems, reports, and controls meet federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Support alignment with external regulations and internal company compliance requirements.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory or process changes, in partnership with other business units, to improve compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support routine audits to monitor compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and federal, state, and local employment laws to minimize risk.
  • Perform simple risk assessments of potential compliance gaps and assist in developing priorities and roadmaps for future initiatives.
  • Consult on the development of compliance resources including job aids, communications, and training materials.
  • Compile, analyze, and report data and metrics for Compliance related matters, such as Drugs & Alcohol testing and Driver qualification files.
