About The Position

Stifel’s AML department supports the firm’s efforts to identify and address potential financial crime risks. The Compliance-AML CIU Intern will work alongside experienced team members and gain firsthand exposure to the team’s daily functions and responsibilities. Through job shadowing and hands-on assignments, the intern will review and analyze reports, assist the team in evaluating potential risks, and explore how artificial intelligence platforms may improve productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Criminology, or Pre-Law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical skills and an interest in learning how information is used to evaluate potential risks.
• Interest in artificial intelligence and its potential applications within the workplace.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and learn from experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Shadow team members to learn about the AML/CIU team’s daily functions and responsibilities.
• Review and analyze various reports to support the team’s work.
• Assist team members in evaluating information and identifying potential risks.
• Explore ways to use artificial intelligence platforms to improve productivity and efficiency within the department.
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
