About The Position

This role involves receiving extensive training to learn the process of legally establishing paternity and child support orders, and/or enforcing existing orders by collecting child support and enforcing other provisions. The Compliance Agent will verify and/or correct balances owed, determine appropriate legal action such as garnishment or liens, and prepare documentation for court hearings. This position requires conducting research to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services rules, regulations, and policies. The role is located at 2540 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT, and requires passing a criminal history check. The agency's primary mission is to promote responsibility by ensuring parents are financially responsible for their children through child support services and support for children in care.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in a technologically driven environment with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and quickly make decisions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with an ability to assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism without prejudice or bias.
  • Ability to effectively contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments, and/ or make payment arrangements for money owed.
  • Effectively interpret, clarify, explain and apply agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history check.

  • Verify and/or correct balances which may be owed.
  • Determine appropriate legal action including garnishment, lien, etc.
  • Prepare documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings.
  • Conduct research to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services rules, regulations, and policies.
