About The Position

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Administrator to join our team. The Compliance Administrator will play a key role in ensuring that our firm remains in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. The role of Compliance Administrator is expected to be one of problem solving, project management, and risk management. It is expected that the Compliance Administrator will address issues timely, have a critical eye for detail and utilize high level organizational skills to ensure firm records, libraries, and distributions are well processed and maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but relevant experience in the industry will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, exhibiting a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively.
  • Prior experience in compliance, risk management, vendor management or legal administration, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced skills in Power Query.
  • Experience in data visualization and analysis using Power BI.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Monday.com or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of policies and procedures archive and assistance with drafting, review, and approval of same.
  • Initial review, documentation, storage, and distribution of client alerts
  • Execution and/or oversight of scheduled audits, including regularly scheduled office clean desk and security audits.
  • Review of scorecards for compliance violations or potential risk as evidenced by client notes or findings.
  • Assisting with compliance remediation plans and trainings.
  • Maintaining a presence on client calls and with clients to reinforce relationships with clients and a strong understanding of client expectations.
  • Assisting with vendor management ensuring the compliance practices of third-party vendors and service providers are meeting the firm's standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Working with the management of various operational teams, as well as employees, to foster good relationships and an "open door" policy for assisting with compliance needs.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, and other business-related activities.
