About The Position

Embassy Suites Denver is seeking an experienced and dynamic Complex Sales Manager to represent two hotels in the Denver market. This role requires a proven track record of driving revenue and meeting financial goals, with specific knowledge of business travel sales and group sales. The Complex Sales Manager will serve as the primary on-property sales contact for customers, proactively soliciting and managing complex accounts, markets, and events with high revenue potential. This position involves upselling opportunities to maximize revenue for both hotels and supporting the Director of Sales in their absence. The role demands a proactive approach to sales, focusing on identifying and soliciting new business, managing customer budgets, and accurately forecasting group sleeping rooms and revenue. The Complex Sales Manager will also be responsible for building and strengthening customer relationships, conducting site inspections, creating sales contracts, and understanding the financial impact of their role on the overall hotel objectives. A key aspect of the role is maintaining a comprehensive understanding of both hotel properties, their amenities, operations, market positioning, and selling strategies. Additionally, the position emphasizes guest satisfaction by ensuring high service levels, building long-term customer relationships, and effectively handling guest feedback and complaints. The role also involves leadership, managing work execution, developing talent, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Builds the department top line revenue by adhering to sales strategy guidelines.
  • Identifies revenue opportunities for the hotels based on the event profile.
  • Handles more complex business with greater revenue potential and customer expectations.
  • Meets and exceeds individual revenue goals per hotel.

  • Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with customers regarding event details.
  • Follows up with customers post-event.
  • Greets customers during the event phase and hands off to the Sales & Catering Coordinator for execution.
  • Is available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements.
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality and ensures consistent, high-level service.
  • Ensures products and services sold meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations.
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
  • Reviews Guest Service Results with leaders and participates in corrective action plans.
