About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Complex Project Manager – Transmission position for our client. This is an 8-month onsite role in Columbus, OH, requiring 5 days per week at the client site. The role involves leading complex electric transmission projects, managing end-to-end project delivery, and coordinating with various internal teams and external vendors. The goal is to deliver projects that enhance grid reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.

Requirements

Ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies in a complex technical environment.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects within the electric utility, power transmission, or energy infrastructure industry.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, operations, planning, compliance, and technology teams.
Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, vendors, and stakeholder expectations.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with transmission substations, transmission lines, outage planning, asset management, or grid modernization initiatives is highly desirable.
Experience with regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and executive-level project reporting is preferred.
Project management certifications, such as PMP, are desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead complex electric transmission projects involving substations, transmission lines, grid reliability, outage coordination, and asset modernization.
Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies.
Coordinate with transmission engineering, planning, field operations, protection and controls, compliance, and IT teams.
Support transmission asset management, facility ratings, outage planning, inspection programs, and system data quality initiatives.
Align business and technical stakeholders to deliver projects that improve grid reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
Oversee vendor coordination, resource planning, project governance, change control, and executive stakeholder communications.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and obstacles, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate status, decisions, and escalations to leadership.
Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards, business objectives, schedules, and compliance requirements.
