Guides successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services. This role primarily involves the design and development of new and/or derivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities as part of outfitting new, custom, and in-service aircraft. The engineer will design installations for various interior components, including necessary airframe modifications to meet load requirements, and perform Weight and Center of Gravity Analysis. Experience with Part 25 aircraft and some familiarity with Part 135 requirements is expected. The role requires creating drawings/models using CATIA V5 interconnected with SmarTeam, and liaising with Operations, Suppliers, Procurement, Quality, and other departments on engineering issues related to design and validation through prototyping and reliability testing. Assignments will include assembly/installation, similarity, mounting, and functionality analysis for each configuration developed, ensuring adherence to manufacturing, quality, and schedule requirements.
