About The Position

VARITE is looking for a qualified Compensation Programs Contractor to support compensation operations and reporting activities. This role is crucial for managing increased pipeline volume associated with a new product launch. The contractor will execute and coordinate manual processes to reconcile compensation-related data across multiple CRM platforms and booking systems where integration gaps exist. They will also conduct audits, develop recommendations for automation, manage benchmark survey submissions, and ensure data quality in Workday. This position supports various compensation cycles, partners with cross-functional teams, and focuses on process improvement, data integrity, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working with large datasets across multiple systems, including data reconciliation, validation, and reporting activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve or streamline manual business processes through automation, workflow redesign, or analytical solutions.
  • Experience supporting operational processes in environments with multiple source systems and incomplete system integration preferred.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and their application to data-heavy workflows; experience piloting or evaluating new tools stands out as a key differentiator.
  • Experience with Workday, CRM platforms, or comparable enterprise systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical instincts with high attention to detail, data accuracy, and process integrity.
  • Excellent collaboration skills; comfort working across Compensation, HR, Sales Operations, Finance, and Technology teams.
  • Self-starter orientation with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Resourceful and comfortable with ambiguity; able to adapt as business needs evolve and operational demands fluctuate.
  • Ability to thrive in a temporary, project-oriented role focused on supporting business growth, operational scalability, and process stabilization during a period of transition.
  • 2–4 years of analytical experience; compensation, HR, finance, sales operations, or business operations background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support compensation operations and reporting activities required to manage increased pipeline volume associated with a new product launch.
  • Execute and coordinate manual processes necessary to reconcile compensation-related data across multiple CRM platforms and booking systems where system integration gaps exist.
  • Conduct audits of compensation data and workflows to identify operational inefficiencies, process bottlenecks, and opportunities for future automation.
  • Develop recommendations and prioritization frameworks for reducing manual effort through process improvements and technology enhancements.
  • Manage benchmark survey submissions and data intake processes while ensuring data accuracy and consistency across disparate systems.
  • Own Workday job infrastructure data quality including job code maintenance, hierarchy updates, and job description accuracy.
  • Support analytical and operational needs across annual bonus, equity, salary, and rewards cycles, with particular focus on data validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Partner with HR Technology, Sales Operations, and Compensation teams to document integration gaps, business requirements, and future-state process improvements.
  • Plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives focused on reducing operational risk associated with manual workflows.
  • Diagram and evaluate existing processes, particularly those requiring manual intervention due to disconnected systems.
  • Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams supporting compensation operations and process optimization efforts.
  • Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities and automation readiness.
  • Collect data to identify root causes of operational issues and data discrepancies across systems.
  • Measure performance against process requirements and service-level expectations.
  • Align improvement initiatives to performance shortfalls and operational capacity needs.
  • Provide consultation on process redesign opportunities that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and scalability.
  • Deliver presentations and training materials related to process documentation, data quality standards, and operational best practices.
  • Survey and analyze best practices for compensation operations, data management, and process automation.
  • Communicate project and process improvement progress to stakeholders.
