About The Position

Assess J.S. Held’s alignment with internal and external compensation data, to ensure our compensation program is internally equitable and externally competitive. Work with management to design, implement, and monitor our compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay and total rewards. Conduct job analysis and evaluation of new and evolving positions to determine appropriate salary bands and ranges. Review new and existing job descriptions and level appropriately within the job hierarchy structure. Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop compensation plans that attract, reward, and retain talent. Collaborate with Payroll and Finance to ensure efficient program administration. Generate analytical compensation reports for the purposes of supporting budgets, assisting in keeping operations within that budget and strategic decision making. Provide reports, analysis, and clarification of policies and practices to HR team and Business Leaders. Administer and provide support for annual compensation activities, such as merit increase and bonus plans for both billable and non-billable employees. Provide market research when needed. Monitor compensation management trends and ensure compliance with compensation laws and regulations. Collaborate on special projects and respond to ad hoc requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with compensation methodology and analysis.
  • Experience with creating reports and extracting and analyzing data from an HRIS system.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex ideas clearly and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Sense of urgency and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a large, global professional services firm desired.
  • CCP Certification preferred.
  • Incentive Plan design experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience at a highly acquisitive firm / M&A integration experience highly preferred.
