About The Position

The Compensation Consultant serves as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert supporting Texas Oncology (TXO) and the US Oncology Network (USON). This role partners closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to design, deliver, and administer compensation programs that are market-competitive, internally equitable, and aligned to business strategy. As part of the broader Compensation Center of Excellence (COE), this role leverages data, market insights, and compensation best practices to influence decisions, enhance the employee value proposition, and support the attraction, retention, and development of top talent.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation analysis, program design, and advisory support
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing methodologies, and pay practices
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and strong analytical capability
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations or physician practice environments
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HRBPs and business leaders, providing guidance on compensation strategy, job evaluations, pay decisions, and policy interpretation
  • Partner with stakeholders to align compensation programs with business objectives, talent priorities, and organizational growth initiatives
  • Conduct comprehensive market pricing and benchmarking analyses using salary surveys and external data sources
  • Evaluate market trends and recommend adjustments to maintain competitive positioning within healthcare and broader industries
  • Design, develop, and implement compensation structures including salary ranges, incentive plans, and bonus programs
  • Participate in annual compensation cycles (merit increases, bonus planning, and incentive administration) ensuring alignment with performance and business outcomes
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop clear, data-driven recommendations and present insights to leadership to inform decision-making
  • Ensure compensation programs adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and governance standards
  • Maintain integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of compensation data
  • Partner with HRIS and cross-functional teams to support data management, reporting, and system enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve effectiveness of compensation programs
  • Develop and deliver compensation-related training and materials to HR partners, leaders, and employees
  • Support transparent communication of compensation practices and philosophy
  • Contribute to compensation-related initiatives such as job architecture, organizational changes, or M&A integration efforts, as applicable
