Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience required; Still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills
  • Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
  • May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

  • General compensation knowledge, including compensation theory and an understanding of job evaluation methods and market analysis techniques

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, implementing, and administrating innovative compensation programs and policies. This may include base pay programs, short and long-term incentives, and reward and recognition programs.
  • Provide support for salary survey participation and analysis.
  • Assist in merit, pay, and bonus, CEO Pay Ratio, Minimum Wage Reviews, and other initiatives.
  • Review and approve job descriptions and maintain an active job code list across various systems.
  • Conduct job evaluations, determine FLSA status, apply appropriate market data, document findings, and recommend appropriate job information.
  • Serve as an internal resource to the HR team, recruiters, and managers regarding compensation program/policy administration.
  • Provide counsel to HR and management regarding compensation actions for employees.
  • Analyze and audit compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Work with HRIS and other stakeholders to audit and verify compensation data.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
  • Research processes and practices for improvements or efficiencies to implement; accumulate and analyze data, document findings, and present recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging compensation trends, creative solutions, and legislative changes.
  • May be responsible for executive compensation process, system administration, and reporting.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.
