About The Position

The Compensation Analyst is a key contributor to the Total Rewards team, responsible for supporting the analysis, administration, and continuous improvement of the Foundation’s compensation programs. This role performs independent analytical work, maintains critical compensation data and systems, and provides insights that support informed decision-making. This position is ideal for a developing compensation professional seeking to deepen technical expertise and contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization.   Pay Range: $82,000 – $112,000. This represents the present low and high ends of the Foundation’s pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

Requirements

  • Generally expected to have 3+ years of relevant experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Foundational to intermediate knowledge of compensation practices, including salary structures, pay equity, and market benchmarking.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience building reports and analyzing datasets.
  • Ability to manage work independently while seeking guidance on complex or sensitive matters.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) and compensation tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer compensation programs, including salary reviews and job evaluations, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Conduct market research and salary benchmarking analyses to support competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Analyze compensation survey data and develop recommendations to inform compensation decisions.
  • Analyze internal pay data to identify trends related to equity, compression, and market competitiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain compensation reports and dashboards to support decision-making and program administration.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, internal policies, and compensation guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate compensation data within HR systems, reporting tools, and documentation.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of compensation data and processes.
  • Serve as a resource for managers and employees on routine compensation inquiries, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Apply established compensation guidelines to make routine determinations, escalating sensitive matters when necessary.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Total Rewards function.
