About The Position

The Compensation Analyst supports the design, analysis, and administration of compensation programs and structures across the organization. This role conducts market pricing, evaluates internal equity, and participates in job evaluations to ensure competitive and consistent pay practices. The Compensation Analyst provides data-driven recommendations, supports annual compensation processes, and contributes to policy development and process improvements. This position works independently on standard assignments and collaborates with cross-functional partners while escalating more complex issues to senior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
  • 2+ years of Compensation work experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with human capital management systems such as UKG (formerly UltiPro), Workday, Oracle, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to partner with all levels of Human Resources, leaders, team members and employees.
  • Commitment to high quality of work and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects/priorities.
  • Ability to solve problems through innovative solutions and sound judgment.
  • Ability to understand and analyze data to tell a story.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and take initiative to develop, implement and document new/improved processes.
  • Ability to develop communications and training materials and present at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of FLSA and other regulatory requirements of compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Participates and supports the administration of salary and variable pay programs including annual pay for performance merit review process, incentive plans, wage adjustments, and market based adjustments.
  • Assists with large scale projects and may own a work stream of the project. May lead smaller scale projects as assigned by the Compensation team.
  • Evaluates and prices jobs using market data to provide recommendations that meet business needs and internal equity. Presents information to the Compensation team and accepts feedback regarding job matches and pricing strategies.
  • Audits and processes variable and incentive pay program results and creates team communications. Follows approval flow ensuring that approval signatures are received and the incentive is routed to the appropriate team for payment.
  • Owns the salary and budget survey completion process. Supports other Comp team members in data gathering, analysis, job matching, and completing survey materials. Reviews survey data and provides a high level analysis of impacts and proactive communications and recommendations needed. Ensures updated market data is updated in vendor software. Reviews gaps in survey data, researches potential new sources of data, and provides recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Edits and maintains organizational charts and job profiles, ensuring all required approvals are obtained and maintained within electronic files.
  • Understands compliance policies, practices and procedures and escalates concerns to senior compensation team members and HR Leadership.
