Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources department. The Compensation Analyst will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children’s Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life. The Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the organization’s compensation programs—including base salaries, bonuses, and benefits—to ensure both competitiveness and internal equity. It involves developing and implementing compensation structures, policies, and procedures that align with strategic goals, conducting market research and benchmarking, and providing data-driven recommendations. The position collaborates closely with HR and management to assess job roles, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, prepare reports for senior leadership, and support compensation-related training initiatives. Additionally, the role responds to internal and external inquiries, participates in special projects, and contributes to the continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs.
