The Compensation Analyst II administers staff compensation and classification programs and projects for the University under limited supervision. Ensures compliance local, state(s), and federal laws independently. Analyzes and evaluates positions for appropriate titles, paygrades, and organizational hierarchy to maintain external competitiveness and internal consistency. Benchmarks University staff positions. Compiles information for salary surveys. Consults with departments on classification, compensation practices, promotions, and issues related to pay under limited supervision. Provides guidance to HR Business Partners. Provides guidance and training to entry-level Analysts and HR Business Partners. The University of Alabama is embarking to transition the on-premises finance and HCM ERP systems to a modern cloud platform. This position is time-limited to the duration of the project due to additional department staffing needs while engaged in this project, but could lead to regular employment at the University.
