Company Safety Officer - Leduc/Field, AB
About The Position
Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. is seeking a Junior Company Safety Officer to be based at their Leduc Office/Shop in Alberta. This role offers the opportunity to join a team that prioritizes safety, personal growth, and self-pride. The company is willing to train the right candidate. The position requires regular travel to sites and camps, with accommodations and a company vehicle provided. This is a full-time employee position based out of Leduc, AB, with a starting wage from $33/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Alstar will provide comprehensive training for all position-specific responsibilities.
Requirements
- CSTS-09 or 2020 by ACSA
- CSO by ESC, WHMIS 2015, Intermediate (Standard) First Aid, HS2 Alive and Fall Protection
- Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Valid Class 5 driver's License & 5 years clean driving abstract
- Excellent computer skills (Google)
- Based out of Edmonton Area or willing to relocate
- Willingness to travel for work regularly
Nice To Haves
- 1 to 2 years of experience in direct field operations in an HSE or trades background preferred, not required
- NCSO certification not required but can be an asset
- Oil and gas experience is an asset, not required
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with Alstar's Safety Management System on the shop floor, yard, and in the field.
- Sharing on-call phone duties during weekdays and weekends.
- Traveling to field sites and Alstar’s Calgary Facility when required.
- Working in all weather conditions.
