About The Position

This role is within Okta's Company Planning and Programs team, which focuses on creating alignment and clarity around the company's near- and long-term strategy. The team acts as the connective tissue, translating high-level company methods and functional plans into clear, actionable, and trackable initiatives. The specialist will balance driving strategic planning rhythms (~60%) with acting as a flexible Project Manager (~40%) for cross-functional initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, possesses high emotional intelligence (EQ), and enjoys both strategic alignment and on-the-ground execution.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of proven experience in project management, program management, or strategic planning.
  • Highly comfortable operating in dynamic environments where priorities can shift; able to bring structure to ambiguous problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
  • A track record of successfully partnering with various teams to drive shared outcomes.
  • Expertise in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Familiarity and comfort leveraging AI tools (such as Claude and/or Google Gemini) to enhance productivity, synthesize information, and draft communications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of annual and quarterly planning cycles, ensuring clear communication and milestone tracking.
  • Assist in coordinating ongoing leadership alignments and tracking action items for key strategic initiatives.
  • Help maintain and streamline operational documentation, reporting dashboards, and presentation materials for executive reviews.
  • Step in to lead and manage smaller, high-priority projects and initiatives within the Company Operations ecosystem when extra bandwidth is needed.
  • Support internal change management efforts, internal team programs, or community initiatives (such as volunteer days and operational training rollouts).
  • Act as a central point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring timelines are met, risks are flagged, and cross-functional teams remain aligned.
