About The Position
Universal Intermodal is seeking Home Daily CDL A Drivers out of our Newark terminal. Earn a great income and join a growing company! This role involves port work, with potential gross earnings up to $1,500/week. Drivers will be paid per move, with hourly detention pay offered after 2 hours at the ports. The freight is light touch, and the schedule is Monday-Friday with voluntary Saturday work available. Day shift starts vary from 5-7 am with a 10-12 hour workday, and night shift starts at 8 pm. Voluntary layovers are also available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL
- 6 months of verifiable experience in the last year
Nice To Haves
- Prior port experience preferred but not required
- TWIC Card (Preferred)
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps
- Domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities
- Operate from 40 terminals and eight container yards
- Provide Chassis, Containers, Drayage, and Services for Imports, Exports, and Domestic moves
