About The Position

AquaSafe Pool Management is seeking an experienced Senior Company Accountant to lead our company's full accounting function. This is not an accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping role. We're looking for an accounting professional who can independently own the books, complete month-end close, prepare accurate financial statements, and provide meaningful financial guidance to company leadership. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with significant responsibility for general ledger accounting and month-end close.
  • Experience independently managing the full accounting cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of: General ledger accounting, Journal entries and accruals, Financial statement preparation, Fixed assets and depreciation, Loans and interest, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Account reconciliations.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to company leadership.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA, CMA, or other professional accounting designation.
  • Experience with multi-state accounting and tax compliance.
  • Experience in construction, service, seasonal, property management, or similar industries.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and internal financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle from daily transactions through month-end and year-end close.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Perform journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries.
  • Manage fixed assets, depreciation, loans, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, billing, collections, and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with the company's external CPA firm for year-end tax preparation, audits, and financial reviews.
  • Analyze financial results and communicate trends, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
