Companion Caregiver
About The Position
Companion Caregiver No experience or certification needed. Earn $16 to $20 an hour as a Companion Caregiver. Pick day, evening, or night shifts, and earn a scholarship to become a Certified Home Health Aide. Who you'll care for Seniors across Sussex, Warren, Morris, Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties who want to stay active and connected while living in their own homes. You'll be the friendly face who helps them get out, eat well, and feel less alone. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to read, write, and speak English to follow care plans and communicate with clients and staff
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for others, personally or professionally
- Comfortable working independently in a client's home
Responsibilities
- Go with clients to appointments, shopping, errands, social outings, and religious services
- Plan, cook, and share meals together
- Do light housekeeping to keep the home clean and safe
- Play games, talk, and do activities clients enjoy
- Follow the care plan from our nurses and report any changes or safety concerns
