About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow each client’s care plan. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is in person in Glendale Heights, Illinois, with full-time, part-time, and live-in shift availability. Flexible schedules are available. Pay is $19–$20 per hour, with weekly pay and direct deposit. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving experience; home care experience is requested.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including at appointments and on walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping when needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
