About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow their care plans. The agency provides training and serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is in person in New Lenox, Illinois, with full-time or part-time schedules available.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to follow health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outdoors, including accompanying them to appointments or walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals, taking clients’ needs into account.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
