About The Position

The Companion Caregiver role involves providing hands-on care and assistance to residents with their daily living activities (ADLs) and serving as a companion. This includes helping residents maintain tidy apartments and perform other domestic duties as requested. The caregiver will actively engage with seniors, encouraging their independence while providing support and companionship.

Requirements

• Current Arizona Caregiver/Med Tech Certificate required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and document care.
• Provides high levels of customer care with compassion and heart.
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Maintain safe and sanitary work conditions.
• Flu vaccine required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulation and transfer assistance.
• Assist with toileting, bathing, and grooming.
• Offer wake-up services and dressing assistance.
• Prepare meals.
• Provide organizational help.
• Offer ambulation support, such as pushing a wheelchair or accompanying for balance.
• Run errands, including grocery and household goods shopping.
• Provide companionship.
• Offer schedule and medication reminders.
• Maintain service plan tracking of all services performed.
• Understand and meet resident expectations within community policy.
• Inform Supervisor of any changing conditions affecting resident independence.
